FAQs

What is caregiver training and who is it for?

Our caregiver training is designed for all parents and caregivers, not just those with a child in intensive services. Whether you need additional support, want to build new strategies, or simply want to better understand behavior, our training equips you with practical, science-based tools you can use every day. These skills strengthen connection, reduce stress, and support growth at home, school, and in the community.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We currently accept:

Medicaid

AmeriHealth Caritas

Aetna Better Health

Louisiana Healthcare Connections

We are always expanding and working to accept more MCOs and insurance plans.Private pay options are also available.

Do I need a diagnosis to use my insurance?

Yes. To bill insurance for ABA services, an official diagnosis is required. For families without a diagnosis or those who prefer not to use insurance, we offer private pay options for both caregiver training and direct services.

What is your model of direct care?

At Temple & Vine, direct care is always provided by a BCBA or a BCBA Candidate. We focus on high-quality, relationship-based support from trained clinicians.

Our direct service model is not intensive like typical clinic or home-based ABA. It is designed for individuals who need 5–15 hours per week to build skills that support independence across life and school.

We focus on:

  • Functional communication

  • Socialization

  • Life skills & executive functioning

  • Job readiness & community navigation

  • Behavior reduction

  • Bridging the gap from intensive therapy to independence

Direct care spots are limited because our primary mission is to support and strengthen the community we serve, and to help everyone thrive within real environments.

Do you work with schools?

Yes. We provide support within schools to help staff, teachers, and administrators understand behavior principles, implement strategies, and create more adaptive and inclusive environments.

Do you work with organizations and businesses?

Absolutely. All organizations begin with a consultation where we discuss your needs, your goals, and how we can support your environment. We create individualized plans that help businesses, programs, and community partners become more adaptive, inclusive, and understanding of the individuals they serve.

Do you offer community-based or telehealth services?

Yes. We can support individuals and families:

In the community

In schools

Via telehealth

Or a blended model that fits your need

Our goal is to meet you where you are—literally.

Why does Temple & Vine focus so much on community support?

Because true inclusion requires work on both sides.

We believe individuals on the spectrum should not be isolated in therapy settings. Communities should understand them, and caregivers should feel confident navigating daily life. By training caregivers, supporting organizations, and offering direct care when needed, we help bridge the gap so individuals can thrive in real-world environments.
